We’ve come a long way since 2003, starting out as a small family company and we are incredibly proud to have grown and expanded over the years to become a successful, reputable business, known for providing pioneering PC solutions. Our first off-the-shelf product was launched in 2005, since then we have used cutting edge technology to engineer unique computer solutions. Creating a comprehensive portfolio of products which we sell all over the world.
Our manufacturing base is in the UK and we have a sales office in Germany that covers northern Europe. However, we sell and ship all over the world and service those customers with the same diligence we do in the UK. Currently between 20% and 25% of our business goes into Europe. In order to better serve this market, we are considering establishing a manufacturing base in mainland Europe. This will enable us to grow our services on the continent, improve our carbon footprint, simplify transport, and reduce the friction with UK customs.
We promote ourselves as an engineering company that makes computers. We can produce bespoke computers, branded and with custom made parts. Rather than a system builder that assembles entirely from off the shelf parts. This gives us the unique strength in design control. You can buy a computer from a larger manufacturer, but one of the problems is that, as soon as they decide it is end-of-life, then that’s it. We can keep manufacturing the same product for long as the components are in production. We also offer customers the option to forecast their orders, giving them the security of product being available when they are needed. Some of our customers want additional bracketry or their own branding on our cases, which is not available from larger manufacturers for small batch production.
We, like most businesses have faced many challenges with COVID-19, Brexit, a struggling economy and all the supply chain issues. But we have an exceptional team of employees, a loyal customer base and we have adapted in the face of adversity and overcome these obstacles and believe we are stronger because of it.
We have recently moved to a purpose-fitted 15,000sq. ft HQ – four times the size of our previous base which gives us significantly more room for production and development of new products. Our dedicated and knowledgeable team has been expanded and we are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for G2 Digital.
This month we have launched a new product, the 16FN, a rugged, fanless mini computer based on Intel NUC technology that refines its best features. Powered by 13th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors, and cooled by a custom thermal design, it operates silently in a range of environments. Complimented by a host of options; internal AC power supply, Power-over-Ethernet, multi-ethernet ports and 1U Rackmounted or Wall mount, it truly is in a league of its own.
As we look to the future, we are also considering retail customers as a new industry to service. Through our online sister company Rack.Computer, retail customers will be able to build their own systems using our exceptionally engineered cases.
