Render

Rendering pushes hardware to its limits. G2 systems are specified around your workload, delivering sustained performance without thermal throttling or platform compromises.

When your workload exposes what the hardware can’t do.

Render is where the limits of general-purpose hardware show up first. High-core-count sustained loads, memory bandwidth ceilings, PCIe topologies that off-the-shelf configurations can’t accommodate. If you’ve ever had a render node thermal-throttle mid-farm, or a workstation that can’t sustain the memory bandwidth a large scene demands, you’ve already encountered the problem G2 is set up to solve.

Platform selection that starts with the workload.

EPYC, Threadripper PRO, Xeon W, Xeon Scalable, which is right for you depends on core count, memory channel configuration, PCIe lane budget and the specific DCC applications in the pipeline. They’re not interchangeable. One platform that’s optimal for a large simulation workload isn’t necessarily optimal for a studio running software-certified Xeon workflows.

G2 engineers map your requirements to the right platform and explain the reasoning. We don’t inherit someone else’s spec assumptions.

Thermal design for loads that don’t stop.

A render node running at sustained 100% load behaves very differently to a workstation with a mixed office and creative workload. Cooler selection, chassis airflow and fan configuration need to be sized for the actual sustained thermal load rather than peak burst.

G2 systems are built with that headroom designed in so performance doesn’t degrade over a long render run.

Farm configurations and multi-node builds.

If you’re scaling to a render farm, consistency is required. We build to a repeatable specification so every node in a farm is identical. We use the same components, same configuration and the same test record. No variance that introduces unpredictable behaviour in the farm manager.
