Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has staked a further claim to be the prime computer industry innovator, with the launch of a new range of desktop products, providing greater performance levels for gamers, creators, professionals, and mainstream users.
The company has significantly grown its array of options for Socket AM5 users with the new Ryzen 7000X3D Series Desktop processors and 65W Ryzen 7000 Series Desktop processors.
The AMD Socket AM5 platform is particularly exciting as it facilitates trailblazing technology advantages, including the highest number of PCIe® 5 lanes, to achieve peak, next-gen graphics and storage bandwidth.
Included in the Ryzen 7000 Series Desktop offering, are three new Ryzen X3D processors – the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D – bringing the power of AMD 3D V-Cache technology to the range.
AMD boasts that the new Ryzen 7000X3D are now the world’s fastest gaming processors, with up to 14% faster performance than the previous generation.
Prior to the development of AMD’s 3D V-Cache, cores and frequencies were the main specs CPU buyers looked at, but this technology changed all that.
Ryzen 7000 CPUs are designed with 3D V-Cache compatibility in mind, allowing for better performance, especially for rendering and 3D graphic intensive applications.
The technology provides quicker rendering times and overall improved performance by minimizing the amount of data transferred between the main memory and CPU.
AMD have also launched three new low power processors, the Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 5 7600 Series build on the existing Ryzen 7000 Series Desktop processor range, offering excellent performance whilst using less power. One-click overclocking with Precision Boost Overdrive offers an immediate performance boost of up to 39% with a water-cooled Ryzen 9 7900 processor.
